GUS Canada CEO Attends Scholars’ Exchange Programme 50th Anniversary

On Monday, November 27, Cyndi McLeod, CEO of GUS Canada, participated in a significant event marking the 50th anniversary of the Canada-China Scholars’ Exchange Program (CCSEP). Held at the Chinese Consulate-General in Vancouver, the buffet reception was a collaborative effort by Global Affairs Canada, the Chinese Consulate-General in Vancouver, and the Chinese Embassy in Canada.

The event was attended by Ambassador Cong Peiwu and Executive Director J.P. Tachdjian, who both made notable remarks to commemorate this milestone. The evening was an opportunity for education leaders and CCSEP alumni to gather, reflect, and celebrate the longstanding educational exchange between Canada and China.

Cyndi McLeod’s attendance at this reception underscores GUS Canada’s commitment to fostering international educational relationships and its active role in the ongoing dialogue between Canada and China in the realm of education and cultural exchange.
