On Tuesday, November 28, Cyndi McLeod, CEO of GUS Canada, Diana Mockute, Chief Partnerships Officer for GUS Canada, GUS Med and GUS Vet, Victoria Martin, Chief Commercial & Compliance Officer for GUS Canada and Ehsan Safdari, President, Colleges Division for GUS Canada, took part in a significant signing ceremony at the SpacesShared booth during CBIE 2023 at the Vancouver Convention Centre. This event celebrated the signing of two Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) between SpacesShared and the University of Niagara Falls Canada (UNF) as well as the Toronto School of Management.
This new partnership between GUS Canada and SpacesShared introduces an innovative homesharing platform, addressing student housing concerns across GUS Canada Colleges in Toronto and the new University of Niagara Falls in Niagara Falls. SpacesShared, an intergenerational homesharing platform, pairs students in need of affordable housing with older adults who have spare rooms, creating mutually beneficial living arrangements.
This initiative is a testament to GUS Canada’s commitment to providing accessible, practical solutions for students, ensuring their safety and affordability in housing while fostering community and inclusivity. The partnership is set to benefit students academically and personally, offering real-world solutions to pressing challenges.
